13 July 2023: placed on medical hold. I am a mellow-yellow fellow, friendly, quiet and shy and reserve. It may take a little longer for me to adjust to my new home...be patient with me...I prefer a quiet home. Story has it that a lady rescued me from the animal shelter in Lunenburg, VA. It seems my prior owner surrendered me to the shelter for reasons unknown to me. I arrived to the Pet Adoption Center on 21 June...adopted on 2 July and eight days later returned on 10 July. That home was a mis-fit for me - I was anxious and stressed and as a result I was not myself. I did not eat or use the litter box. I peed on some clothes which as you can imagine, was not well received. My owner took me to the Vets - medically, I was sound. It was behavioral, so I was returned. When I came back to the Pet Adoption Center on 10 July, all I did was to sleep. I was very lethargic and refused all food over the next two days. This time, CRI took me to another Vet. I left with meds..so I had to be removed from the pet center and arrived to a Foster for my health care on 13 July. Come and visit me on the weekends during playtime at the Chesapeake PetSmart Store, Pet Adoption Center on Greenbrier Parkway:Saturday, 1100 - 1700Sunday, 1200 - 1700Plus, you can always visit me any time the store is open Monday - Friday and call the contact number on my cage card to meet me.Adoption fee is cash or check only
