Lotus has definitely stolen the heart of his foster family; that’s for sure! Lotus is approximately 2 years of age. Lotus was adopted out as a kitten with his sister, Lily. These two were originally fostered in a home where they were able to sleep with their human 7-year-old sister. Unfortunately, they were adopted out into a home that allowed for the cats to be locked out of the bedrooms. This did not sit well with Lotus, and he did destroy the carpet trying to get in. Furthermore, Lotus came back to us with some anxiety, and his foster family has had to work very hard to rebuild trust with him. He was extremely fearful upon return to rescue. At this time, Lotus has free rein of a large home he is sharing with other cats, dogs, and human companions. We know that his first home had other pets before him, and added additional pets after acquiring him. Lotus LOVES his foster mom, and would do well in a quiet home with an adult or even a home with older, respectful children perhaps. Lotus is a cat that does require frequent brushing to prevent hairballs. He also benefits from a raised feeding dish to minimize vomiting. We aren’t exactly sure what this boy has been through, but we are sure he’s on the mend from whatever it was. He’s really doing fantastic and his foster parents are committed to keeping him safe until the purrfect family is found for him. Lotus has been fully vetted by our rescue, and we feel he is at the point where he has been rehabilitated to make someone a very nice feline companion.
