"Hello Humans. My name is Linden - I run Royal Ebony Feline & Associates & I'm looking for competent, hard working employee(s) who can take orders! The winning applicant will need to be a morning person. You will be expected to start work each day at 6:30 AM. I expect my breakfast to be put in front of me no later than 7 AM. (Don't make me get it myself, because I will! I can open drawers and bags and sometimes I have to with my current employees who seem to believe that THEY are in charge and don't think I should be fed every waking minute. I'm very fond of them. But I realize they aren't a good match as long-term staff. They are "DOG people!" I won't hold it against them ....they mean well & are quite endearing and have done a great job filling in for my original staff when I lost them.) My litterbox will be ready to change directly after breakfast. I am very energetic and like to stay busy throughout the day - so you'll have to be able to keep up with and entertain me. I do love feathered & twine toys - especially at night when I find it imperative chase ghosts around the apartment to protect my current staff. THEY call it the "zoomies" I call it Protecting the help from evil hottentots and bed woozies. Despite all that I am a no-nonsense type of guy. Catnip is not appreciated in my world so don't even try it! I'm NOT a dang hippie. I like to climb & keep my nails sharpened. I'm a MAN'S cat. I don't "do" floofy scratchers - I require vertical hardwood for grooming my nails. I'm not a cuddlier cat. I don't appreciate when folks get touchy-feely. If my future employees MUST show physical affection - please stick to a few strokes on my head or face. I am, as that TV catdaddy Jackson Galaxy put it - a "balloon full of energy!" "This is Linden again. (I hate being interrupted! Someone remind me to look into docking the moderator's pay. ....Find out how much that "volunteer" makes....What do you mean -'nothing'?) Anyway, I'm currently being fostered as an indoor cat. I have to admit, I do love the cushy life. But, the home is rather quiet and small. I would prefer my forever employees be more active, make me the center of their world, as it should be. "I also would enjoy being a shop cat I think. Supervising my new staff in a woodshop, or on a farm! Just THINK of the wood I could carve!!!! Plus there would always be something to get into & help with! "Ideally though, I think I would prefer human staff that really have a lot of experience with cats like me! I have so much to learn & teach the right human(s)!" Linden loves to TALK. He is not a quiet cat, but rather one who will happily carry on a conversation with you. He is eager to interact and is very friendly (even though he's not wild about being pet in return), offering head-butts and rubbing against his "staff" - especially in anticipation of meals and treats. He likely had a home with a male human who wasn't very hands-on with him. Linden prefers men, but is good with the ladies as well. He is about 3 years old, neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, litter box trained, & microchipped.
