Adopt Layla (interactive companion) a Brown Tabby Domestic Shorthair / Mixed

Layla is one lucky girl. Her previous owners took her to the vet because she had a developed a UTI. The owners then decided they didn't want to treat her, so they decided to put her down. The vet saw how sweet she was, and they got the owners to surrender her. LCCR arrived in the picture, and it was easy to see WHY Layla had developed a UTI...the owners had never had never taken her to the vet in the whole two years they had her--since she was 4 weeks old! She had worms and was in heat. A shot of antibiotics, some special food to help her over the hump, a spay surgery, and she is ready to start her new life with new caring people who will take better care of her than her previous owners.Layla was born in 2021 and is currently living in a foster home in Reading. She is NOT a fan of other cats, so she would need to be the one and only kitty in her new home. Dogs are okay--she coexists just fine with the yellow lab in her foster home, as long as the yellow lab doesn't probe too much! She adores people, and as you can see from the pictures, wants to be around people all the time. She's not a lap cat per se, but she'll lay next to you just fine, thank you very much. She loves to play and talk. Layla is a perfect companion for a family who wants an interactive cat. Older kids would be okay for Layla...she can be finicky about her back end being touched too much. She also likes to take walks in a stroller. Birdwatching is a favorite pasttime, either from a window or from the stroller!Layla's adoption donation is $90 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
