Well, the new addition was actually not so bad and kind of cute. Turns out, the child developed a severe allergy to cats. The parents' dream of raising a crazy cat baby was crushed. Faced with a difficult decision, the family had to do what was best for everyone. With heavy hearts, they asked The Rescue House to find the perfect home for their beloved Larry and Mateo. ---Larry has an endless appetite for food and affection! In fact, his love language is purrs and headbutts. Super sweet, he's quick to rev up his purr motor for you. He treats dinnertime like an eating competition. If left to his own devices, he'll eat until the bowl is empty! A dapper dude, he keeps his nails nice and buffed with the scratching post. He'll let you trim them even though he does get squirmy after a while. When entering new places, this inquisitive guy likes to hang back and safely observe for a bit. Under the bed or some blankets or atop a tall cat tree are great places to do surveillance. Once he feels comfortable, he'll be out and making friends. Fun fact: Larry likes his litterbox to be cleaned often and will submit a complaint to the house manager if it's not up to his standards. ---Mateo is handsome, smart, and very affectionate! Watch him work the room with his mellow swagger. For fun, he enjoys pouncing after wand toys and indulging in catnip delights. He also has impeccable litterbox manners-a true gentleman! Mateo is a lover and not a fighter. His archenemy is the vacuum cleaner. Once he hears the roar of the debris-sucking machine, he takes no chances. Locking his sights on the tallest piece of furniture in the area, he will make a heroic leap to safety. With the vacuum banished back into the closet, Mateo will venture out and get back to being the biggest cuddlebug around. He LOVES being held, petted, and brushed. In total bliss, this Purrari goes vroom vroom! ***Larry and Mateo MUST be adopted together. They are interested in other cats and over time will welcome another feline playmate. Since they were not exposed to dogs or children, it is unknown how they would react to or accept either.
