Approx. DOB: 4/23/2023This is Hughie! Hughie looks all snuggly and comfy in that first picture, right?! And he is!!! He’s super chill and loves to be loved once he settles and allows himself to be overtaken with all the feels. This is also Hughie in the second and third pictures in a Baby Björn for pets. He’s not necessarily happy in that little pack, but he tolerates it and we make it work, and it’s necessary to his socialization process. Hughie is like most of the kitties we save daily. They come in scared, guarded, and definitely not interested in human touch. We spend hours, days, weeks, and sometimes months smothering them with human contact to make them adoptable because, quite honestly, living inside is a better alternative than being an outdoor feral kitty, especially a small kitten like Hughie! Much like humans, kitties are on a continuum of introvert/extrovert. Some kitties are more on the introvert side while others lean toward the extrovert, but all deserve a home and love! Hughie has already progressed in foster care; he’s still leaning more toward introvert, but that’s ok and we respect his need for space. He wouldn’t allow us to even touch him without a swat and a spit; now we just get a light hiss. He’s learning that human touch isn’t so bad, but he still prefers the companionship of his fellow foster kitties so will definitely need a furever family that not only has an immense amount of love and patience to give, but one with a patient furry friend looking for a playmate and companion. Hughie has a few more weeks in foster before he will ready to join his furever family, but if you love his darling face with that silly haircut as much as we do, apply today.
