ABOUT HAZEL Are you looking to add a little sparkle to your life? Is your home severely lacking a funny little gremlin? Look no further than our Hazel! She is a 5 year old Tortie lady and, boy, is she a character! This pretty girl makes our staff and volunteers laugh every day with her antics. She loves to flop herself in any lap available, even if there's something in said lap. She "helps" with paperwork by chewing on the paper and swatting pens out of your hands. She might not be a kitten anymore, but she still plays like it, chasing around lasers, toy mice, and, sometimes, nothing at all. Hazel does have a little bit of attitude at times, mostly when it's time to get a nail trim! She's very good at communicating her displeasure, first by grumbling and then by a little love tap. We promise she's not always a nutty girl, she has her affectionate moments too! She loves being held like a baby and having her chin scratched. Bonus points if you swaddle her! She enjoys being dressed up in adorable costumes and clothing. While she can be a lot at times, she prefers other cats to be calm so they don't steal her thunder! Cats that are similar to her, tend to annoy her the most but we firmly believe she is a pick-me girl that wants to stand out. While she does okay with children, we would recommend an adult-only household, kids normally get attention and she doesn't like that. **Hazel has skin allergies, which results in her having itchy rashes on her body. However, we've determined that she just needs to stay on a special diet and the occasional medication, and she does fine! If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
