Friendly, Curious, Cool Eggler's foster says that she's a perfect little kitty! She's such a happy girl and has a perpetual smile on her face! Eggler is a master Biscuit Maker and a perpetual Purr Machine! She's a really good sport and totally rocks a cowboy hat and bandana (see photos). The girl has style! Eggler is highly affectionate and loves her people! She will rub against your hands and legs, looking for pets and cuddles. She will settle in for a snuggle and stay there as long as you let her! Simply move a little and she gets the hint and scurries off to find another comfy location to continue her catnap. She loves her cuddles but also likes her own space now and then! She hilariously stalks wand toys, and gets so into it that her head will shake/vibrate a little from excited anticipation! She makes SUCH cute faces and has adorable, playful mannerisms. You might notice that Eggler is fast! Which is even more amazing, because her back legs are paralyzed, and she propels herself with her front legs and pulls her back legs along behind her. She is like a little kitty rocket ship! She can even climb up onto cat trees, upholstered furniture and her foster's bed, where she spends the night snuggling and making biscuits. On cooler nights she loves to be under the covers, and will dive under if you lift them up for her. Eggler came to APA! with paralyzed legs from unknown spinal trauma. The trauma also gave her incontinence, which means she can't pee on her own, so she needs her bladder squeezed (aka, "manually expressed") a few times daily to help her go pee. Eggler is an absolute angel about this! She's so smart that she has the whole routine down. When it's about time for her expression, she'll go to the bathroom and wait for her foster to come in and express her! She purrs throughout the process, makes biscuits, nuzzles her foster and gives her kitty kisses. The process is straightforward, does not need to be on a rigid schedule, and APA! will show you how and make sure you are comfortable with it! She gravitated to them when she was in the shelter, and likes the nice cat in her foster home. She would probably love a home with a calm, friendly, and playful cat to be her buddy! The ideal home for Eggler ideally has a mix of carpet and uncarpeted flooring. The uncarpeted areas allow her to amaze you with her speediness, and the carpet provides good cushion for her when she isn't racing around the house. Eggler is a beauty with her brown and white tabby coat, big eyes full of mischief, white mittens, and a "secret" brown tabby circle on her tummy!
