As his name suggests, Cotton Candy is sweet and everyone's favorite at the fair! He plays hard and naps hard, too. He likes other cats and purrs for human cuddles. He's an excellent pint-sized companion! A Grade 4 heart murmur was heard by the vet at the time of Cotton Candy's neuter; however, no signs of congestive heart failure have been noted. We are unsure of the cause of the murmur at this time, as no further diagnostics have been performed yet. Depending on its cause, it may require surgical correction or medical management. He may still outgrow this murmur, although this is less likely given the higher grade. Cotton Candy's heart murmur may be present throughout his life but never cause a problem, or it may progress to heart failure later in life. This can only be determined by having it worked up via imaging diagnostics with a vet. Cotton Candy's adoption fee has been reduced to $50, in hopes that this may allow his adopter to more easily afford to have his heart murmur worked up. Cotton Candy is neutered, microchipped, has received age-appropriate vaccines, and is negative for FeLV and FIV.
