Adopt Copernicus a All Black American Shorthair (short coat) cat in Saint Paul

Copernicus is a big old boy, who is very social & thrives on lots of attention. He's extremely affectionate, will greet you at the door with a meow and a head nudge, and loves absolutely everyone & anyone. In the past he has struggled with anxiety when left alone for long periods of time, which would lead him to eat inedible stuff, meow until his voice is hoarse, vomit, and lick excessively. When living in a place where people were around much of the time, these behaviors were practically eliminated. For the past few years it's been just one person at home (who works a lot and is away on weekends) and some of the old anxiety behaviors returned. He's very playful, active, agile, and chatty. He is 13 years old, and has had very few health concerns, but was recently diagnosed with feline hyperesthesia (nerve discomfort) that is worsened by stress (being alone). This has been managed best by slow feeding (he has an automated feeder that really helped) and plenty of affectionate company.
