Affectionate, Friendly, Playful We don't mean to sound cheesy, but this kitty might be your soulmate! Cheese on my Soulmate is a gorgeous creamsicle colored girl with the prettiest tabby swirl coat! Aside from being pretty, Cheese on my Soulmate is also super sweet and loves to play. Cheese came to APA! from Rio Grande Valley Humane Society after she was rescued from being stuck in a fence. She's no longer stuck in a fence, but now she's stuck behind the bars of her kennel and she is so ready to be rescued out of there too! Cheese will even stick her arms through the bars, pawing at anyone who walks by in hopes of getting some attention. She loves people and will give little chirps for attention if she sees you approaching her kennel! Getting attention from people is her favorite way to spend time, but Cheese also loves playing! She really likes the wand toy and will be so excited to have lots of room to run around and play with all kinds of other toys once she's recovered from her upcoming surgery and in her new loving home. Cheese's left leg is broken right now and it's scheduled for amputation in September. Her activity has to be limited until her surgery is complete and she's all healed, but that just means more couch and snuggle time - which is a win for her! A 3-legged kitty learns to get around just about as well as a 4-legged kitty. Cheese on my Soulmate would love to find a forever home where she can get lots of pets and attention from her people, so if you're looking for a sweet and friendly girl, stop by and meet her soon! Cheese on my Soulmate has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Cheese on my Soulmate can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
