Cat Friendly, Independent, Calm Chain Chomp is a calm, chill, older gentleman who absolutely LOVES treats! Who can blame him? He gets so excited for churru that he starts chewing on the wrapper itself to get the rest of the ooey gooey snacky goodness. He has an appreciation for fancy treats as well and loves to chow down on dried minnows. However he's no snob and also appreciates spray cheese. He'll even use his paw to ask for more treats. Chain Chomp is great with other cats, especially his shelter roommate Paramedic Paulie (117063)! They are attached to each other and spend the day cuddling, sleeping together, and grooming each other - they just love being near each other. He and Paulie are the ultimate two peas in a pod, and Chain Chomp loves Paulie almost as much as he loves snacks! See the cute photos of them snuggling and snoozing together! He's shameless about begging and will literally dive to get the treat you offer him, and will use his paw to ask for more. Perhaps not coincidentally, his favorite people that he trusts the most are the ones who feed him! When you've won over his trust he enjoys head pets. Chain Chomp has been through a lot before coming to APA! and he's still learning that humans not only give great snacks but a lot of love too! He needs time to warm up to someone new, but when you've won his trust, he blissfully enjoys head pets! He has played a little bit, and was even seen playing tug of war; plus, he hunted and captured an errant bug that made the bad choice of wandering into the room. Chain Chomp also loves a window where he can watch things going on, and Cat TV definitely gets and keeps his attention! Rather ironically, Chain Chomp prefers not to chomp too much (unless it's food) - he is scheduled for some dental work and that should help to alleviate his sore mouth!
