Meet Cannoli! One look at her and you can see why her foster mom calls her a "tiny house bobcat!" This sweet teen kitten loves to play and especially loves food and treats. She's a hoot and a half during playtime, when her natural kitten energy and silliness make her a joy to watch! Once playtime is done, she loves nothing more than a nice nap in the sun, or some window time to chatter at pigeons. If you’re looking for a playmate for your young cat, Cannoli is your girl. While she’s still a little shy around people, she knows how to win other cats over, letting them take the lead and joining in with play and affection once she knows they’re ready. She gets along especially well with her sister Risotto (listed separately), who was rescued with her and is her favorite playmate. When Cannoli first arrived at her foster's home, she was understandably scared and skittish. But now... she's 1000% more social and is learning to love affection. She enjoys gentle pets (particularly when being given her favorite treat, Churu) and doesn’t mind having her belly or paws touched while being given treats. Cannoli also loves being out and about, being her foster mom's little shadow - following her around, very interested in everything she's doing. She will do great with a patient adopter who's looking for a wonderful companion for their cat. Cannoli is very food motivated, which makes her easy to get into a carrier when needed. She may be allergic to chicken, meaning only that she needs a more limited-ingredient diet. But luckily, she likes every kind of food she's given, so it's not hard to find food she enjoys. Adorable Cannoli was rescued behind a restaurant in Bed Stuy with many other kitties who were used to being fed by the kind women who do the cooking. She is so happy to be out of the cold and she's just waiting to live a long, healthy life indoors! Cannoli is spayed, tested fiv-/felv-, is up to date on her vaccines, treated for parasites and happy to be indoors, warm and safe.
