Buttercup is a playful, very social 3-month-old girl. I was originally fostering her with her two sisters, and Buttercup loved wrestling hard with them. She obviously misses feline company and would do best in a household with another energetic cat to play with and room to run and explore. She gets along great with my small dog -- plays with him and naps with him. Her fierce play style might be too much for little children. Buttercup sees fine, but as the pictures show, her eyes look cloudy. This is because she has "corneal edema," meaning that there is some fluid in her corneas that shouldn't be there. She's been examined by a veterinary ophthalmologist who says (this is a quote from the medical record): "Especially if the degree of corneal edema remains stable, she can be expected to have a great life as a well-loved, indoor pet cat." The adopter should be able to take her to the vet at least once a year to make sure that her condition continues to be stable.
