Adopt Bunny a Brown Tabby Domestic Shorthair (short coat) cat in Bensalem

Location:
Bensalem, PA
Description:

Hi, my name is Peter, but you can call me Bunny! I had a rough start at life. I was born late in fall 2021 and by springtime I had a nasty eye infection. Even though I grew up with very little human interaction, I was friendly! My eye had to be removed, but that doesn't slow me down one bit! I'm just about a year old now and am ready for my forever home. I like other cats, am fine being around a senior dog, and would probably be fine with older kids! I have FIV, but it's not scary! You can read more about it below. Apply to adopt using the following link:http://bit.ly/lyarapplication All Lucky You! cats and kittens have age-appropriate vaccines, are spayed/neutered, and microchipped. Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and negative unless otherwise noted. For kittens, it is rescue practice to test mother cat, or ONE kitten per litter. FIV, or feline immunodeficiency virus (feline aids), has a harsh sound to it, but is far less of a concern than its name would suggest. A cat who is FIV+ has the same life expectancy of a normal, negative cat, as long as they are kept inside and up to date on vaccines. FIV+ cats require no more medical attention than a normal cat - upkeep with annual wellness exams and vaccines and vet visits when occasional illness occurs. They sometimes experience dental issues sooner in life than negative cats, but this is case-by-case. FIV is being seen less and less as a major concern by veterinarians.
