Adopt Bob a Cream or Ivory Domestic Longhair / Domestic Shorthair / Mixed cat in

Location:
Pleasanton, CA
Description:

Bob is an absolute sweetheart and delight. He is very playful and loves interactive play. When he is done playing, he loves to cuddle. He just wants to spend time with you and be wherever you are. Aside from being a great cat, he is confused about the polite way to initiate play, and thus recommended for an experienced cat caregiver. When he wants to play, he uses nails and teeth inappropriately to get your attention; his foster caregiver has been working with him on this behavior to help him be gentler and use better tactics to get what he wants.Do you like big purrs and big floofy tails? If so, Bob is the big man on campus for you! Bob is a sweet, mellow adult male cat. He's had an ongoing cold while in shelter care but that hasn't held him back from showing us his best traits including a desire to be pet. Bob is looking to land in a low-stress forever home where he can recuperate and reward his family with appreciative purrs!Bob was transferred to Valley Humane on 7/11 from Hayward Animal Services. He had been found stray. Bob weighs 10.7 pounds and is estimated to be between 1 and 4 years old.Bob has had re-occurring watery eyes. An upper respiratory panel was run and it is thought to be due to a Calici Virus infection. It can cause re-occurring conjunctivitis which may include discharge, redness, and inflammation. Many cats become chronic carriers, even though they may never show any further symptoms. When a cat with Calici Virus is brought into the home, other cats in the home may be at risk as well. There is no cure for Feline Calici Virus and it is not contagious to humans. In cats that become long-term carriers, occasional flare ups may occur. These are usually associated with stressful events (boarding, moving, new addition to the household, etc.) and treatment may be required.Have you fallen in love? Ready to adopt?
