Basil was adopted from Catopia Cat Cafe and is the cutest little furry wallflower. He is VERY shy and can take time to get accustomed to and comfortable around his family. He will immediately hide where possible and if you startle him in his hiding place, he may hiss at you. This little baby is timid. Once he opens up to you he will allow you to pet him, though he is not comfortable being picked up or overly handled. That may change as he settles more into his home. Basil also has the sweetest little squeak when vocalizing; otherwise he tends to be on the quiet side. He loves to eat and that is the only time that he finds his courage. He sure can scarf down a bowl of food! He does love kitty companions and would do well with a friend or two, but has never been around dogs and I cannot say how he would handle such a meeting.He loves to play, both with his fellow cats and with a good wand toy. Not much of a cuddler, he does love to sleep close by once he gets familiar with his family.
