Meet Mr. Banks! Banks came to us after a harrowing adventure inside the engine compartment of a car. We believe he was born in December of 2022 and he seems to really like other cats. We don't know how Banks feels about dogs, but would probably be ok after a proper introduction. When Banks first came to us, he was VERY scared of humans. He is still pretty nervous of new people, and fast movements but he is improving each day. Banks would like a home with other feline friends and humans who are ok with interactions being on his terms. He will need some extra time when adjusting to a new environment and new people. All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
