My name is Azra. I am a big adult cat that was adopted from a county shelter as a kitten. Then that human had to move and gave me to a neighbor. I can't tell my humans what happened between then and the day I was dumped in a too-small-for-me cat carrier on a hot day and was not found for a day. I was terrified.Fast forward to now. I am coming out of my cage (it's mine! No one else can have it!), sitting on the bookcase to look out the window. Have even ventured out of the cat room into the living room. I surprised my foster mom by tapping her leg while she worked on the computer. I am feeling a lot better about life, feeling loved, feeling cared for and being taught that humans can be kind. I have not shown interest in toys. I didn't like canfood when I first was brought in. However, I do like my fancy feast shreds now and demand them twice a day. I like a routine. I want to eat my canfood in the same spot for dinner time. I enjoy free access to my dry food 24/7. Not sure on cat treats yet. I do enjoy being petted but please do not pet the top of my head. I do not like to be held. Nor do I like cat carriers but I don't mind the one my foster mom has as much. I may or may not tolerate being brushed. I do enjoy cat trees and being able to stretch up and claw the tree. I may or may not get along with other cats, so please do not choose me specifically to be a companion to your cat. I do tolerate them in my area for the most part. Young kids under 7 years old, not recommended as I can be a bit testy. I am not a fan of the dog and will stay hidden in the cat room or in my cage if the dog is loose. I am spayed, vaccinated, chipped and tested. My estimated birthdate is 9/1/2019 and my adoption fee is $100. September 9, 2023, 5:59 pm
