Ariel~born~May 2022Hi, I'm Ariel and I'm looking for my new forever family. I am the purrfect feline companion you've been looking for! A charming kitty that will capture your heart with my playful & affectionate nature.I am a social butterfly; I seem to get along fine with other cats and I love to play, especially with my wand toy which I always find irresistible to chase. And let's talk about how super beautiful I am with big green eyes and svelte black fur! Not to brag but I do have the cutest face. My foster mom says I am FIV+ (feline immunodeficiency virus) and since I am so young it was probably passed from my momma cat but not to worry because as long as I'm inside and being taken good care of I can live just as long as all cats are supposed to. FIV is not contagious to humans, only cats, and it is generally passed from deep bite wounds. I'm a lover, not a fighter and have been living harmoniously next to my FIV negative cat mates.I did have a family of my own before. My foster mom thinks I loved them very much because well, I am truly lovable. But one day they put me in my carrier, took me for a car ride and then left me on a sidewalk at a strip mall and drove away! Eventually a very kind woman noticed me, scooped me up and reached out to PAAW for help. Now I begin my new journey looking for my true forever family. FIV is species specific, meaning only cats can be infected. FIV+ cats can live just as long as Non-FIV cats. If introduced properly, FIV and Non-FIV cats can live happy and healthy lives together. The virus is very frail and can only live outside the body for a few seconds, and requires serious physical interaction, like deep bite wounds.
