If you are interested in meeting Amur, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.fluffbuddies.org/infoquestions.php Amur, born approximately 10/16/22, is a special needs kitten who was pulled from a hoarder home. He is an active, playful, and happy young cat (although he looks quite somber in his photo.) He has found his place in his fosterer's home which has several senior kitties. He knows just how much he can play with them before they let him know: Ok, little guy, that's enough! His favorite toy is the ball in a circle track. You know this because you hear the noise it makes as Amur spins it around. When strangers come over, he is right there to greet them - there is not a shy bone in his body. He loves all the attention he can get. Now to his special needs. Amur suffers from seizures due to epilepsy (His blood tests show no sign that it is metabolic.) He is on phenobarbitol and he has his first checkup soon (this month - mid-May) to see if the dosage he is on is sufficient to control his seizures. The meds are rubbed inside his ear twice a day - very easy to apply. (One of our fosterers 'foster failed' with a seizure kitty. At about 5 years old she began to outgrow the seizures. By the time she was 7-8, she was off the meds and having about 3 mild ones a year. Now she is 10 1/2 years old and hasn't had one this year so far [May].) Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays from noon to 4pm.
