Hi! My name is Chia! I was rescued with my sister Sesame in the Central Valley. I’m a sweet, affectionate and playful Tabby girl with a cute white chest because Tuxedos run in the family. I’m initially shy in new environments and can be spicy for a minute or two but my short-lived spiciness isn’t hot like cayenne pepper, it’s mild like turmeric. Once, one of our foster mama’s friends called me a little lioness right before picking me up and giving me lots of pets. My teeny lioness hiss didn’t scare her or really any other human I’ve tried to scare since being rescued. Oh well. Although I may give a little hiss when we first meet, I’m very relaxed when you pick me up and am quick to love. Once we’ve spent a little time together and I decide we’re friends, I’ll show you my sweet and affectionate side… this goes for both humans and kitties. I made furiends with one of the other foster kittens here and started following him around and even napping with him. He’s quite confident and I’ve been learning a lot from him. One of the most noteworthy things I’ve learned is that being right next to humans comes with lots of rewards like pets, compliments and sometimes even a yummy treat. I’m still getting used to all of the unfamiliar things around here and some of the sounds still startle me but I’m making progress every day. My foster mama tells me it’s so fun to watch me slowly open up and reveal a little more of my adorable purrsonality each and every day. I’m looking for a home with a family who will help continue building my confidence and having a more confident kitty around to show me the ropes is a must. I get along really well with my sister and would love to adopted with her because she’s a great role model but if you already have a confident and playful kitty at home, I know we’ll become furiends in no time. I'm so excited to meet my new family and have lots of fun with them!
