Sweet little Furiosa had a rough start out on the mean streets, but now she's living the plush indoor life! This little thing came into the shelter after she was attacked by a dog. She had a badly injured right arm and a sizable gash in her abdomen, but after weeks of rest in a foster home (and a little red light therapy for her arm) she was running through the house!Furiosa LOVES toys and is frequently spotted running through the house with them in her mouth. She is great at entertaining herself with those toys, and loves to sit in the front window on neighborhood watch (until a dog comes by, she hightails it out of there when she spots a dog). She is a super agile little thing, climbing and jumping anywhere she can reach and her favorite spot to sleep is the very top shelf of the cat tree.While Furiosa is not a lap cat (not yet anyway) she will come sit next to her people and will seek out affection on her terms. She has a fantastic rumbling purr and turns it on every time she rubs up on your leg looking for scritches. She comes to her name and gets excited about treats and meals, also purring while she eats. Furiosa is now all healed up and has really come out of her shell. She has made huge strides socializing with her foster family for the last four months, and is looking for a forever home that will be patient while she warms up to them too. Because of her history Furiosa is looking for an indoor only, dog free home to call her own. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof. You must be 18 years or older to adopt. If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).
