Description:

Hi, I’m Thor, the biggest sweetheart around! I know this is a long bio, but please read to understand my story! My foster parents named me Thor after the Norse god of thunder, lightning, and storms. I am known for strength and bravery, which is evident in my journey to get to where I am today! I was born to my father and bonded BFF Odin. Unfortunately, my father was brought to the US to be used in breeding. Thankfully that did not last long and I was able to spend time bonding with my dad instead. From what my foster parents have been able to gather with sparse vet records, I was born underweight and sick. I had known eye and ear problems since a couple months old but nothing was done to fix it. When I arrived at my foster home, my foster parents were shocked to see the state I was in: eyes crusted shut, ears filled with gunk, matted all over, and drooling from a painful dead tooth. I was brought to a vet the next day and it was determined I had entropion and an ear polyp. Both are extremely painful and the vet suspected I had these two inflictions for some time given the amount of damage and scarring. 3 days later, I went into surgery for both. It was a very rough time, but remember, I am the god of strength and bravery. I handled the 2x eye cream, 2x ear drops, and 2x pills each day like a CHAMP! I have regained my playful nature now that I am feeling so much better. I love to chase spring toys around the house, play with wand toys, I love things filled with catnip… honestly everything! Just remember I’m an XL cat and I like big toys I love attention and affection, but I also can be independent. My dad and I really rely on each other and you’ll often find us snuggling together, usually on a comfy human bed. When I was recovering, I was feeling SO crummy but my dad was there cuddling me every step of the way (ask my foster for pics!). We are two peas in a pod. What do I seek in a furever home? One that will be sure to bring me to those very important annual vet visits. Hopefully you’re thinking, well duh I will, and that’s great! I went two years without vital vet care and I don’t want that to ever happen again. Other than that - I seek a furever family with a lot of love who will deeply bond with me and my dad (we are such lovers!), brush my fur daily, give me ample hugs, feed me wet food (I like dry too but I LOOOVE wet!), and get me a big cat tree. Remember that I am an XL cat and I do take up some space, and any carriers, trees, toys, beds, and the like will need to be for XL cats or small to medium dogs. Last but not least, my foster parents really bonded with me, and ask for an adopter who will send update pictures. They would have loved to adopt me, but my foster dad has mild cat allergies and XL long haired cats don’t agree with allergies! Thank you so much for reading. *Please understand that speciality breeds such as Thor and Odin often receive many applicants. We do not pick based on who is first to submit, instead we consider the best fit based on responses and environmental factors. Please submit applications that are fully complete to expedite our review. As we are fully volunteer run, it may take up to 48 hours to respond to new applications. WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION. PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED TO A SCREENER. Apply at online application (catsfff.org/adopt) View all of our adoptable cats here (catsfff.org/cats) Our adoption fees are listed here (catsfff.org/adoption-fees)##2057485##Adoption processThank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines. We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent. We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here: http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age. We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee. Adoption Fees: http://foreverfortunatefelines.org/adoption-fees/ We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy! Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online. Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized. With Warm Regards, Michela OnestiDirector Of Forever Fortunate FelinesXXXX@fortunatelabrescue.org(844) 228-XXXX or (844) CATSFFFShelter locationWe are a completely foster based organization and we schedule meet and greet appointments in fosters homes or at partner PetCo and PetSmarts.
