Adoption processTo ensure our animals go to a loving home, the Alvin Animal Adoption Center requires potential adopters to fill out an adoption application. We require proof from applicants that all other pets are current on their rabies vaccine, have city tags (if you live in the City of Alvin), and have permission from your landlord (if you rent or live in an apartment). The fee to adopt a pet can vary depending on whether or not the particular animal has a sponsor. The normal fees are $110 for a cat and $130 for a dog - this includes sterilization of your pet (spay or neuter), rabies vaccine, first round of basic vaccines, microchip, city tags (if you live in the City of Alvin), and the adoption fee.Shelter locationOur pets love visitors! Come meet your new furry family member at the Alvin Animal Adoption Center between 10am and 5pm, Tuesday through Sunday.
