Hello friends, my name is Willow. I'm a 5yr old Domestic Shorthair mix. I have been at FMAR since I was a kitten, but I am still determined to find my forever home. My favorite activities include sitting on the window ledges and napping, or curling up with one of my kitty friends. When I'm really comfortable I like to stretch my back legs out and relax. I'm not always in the mood for pets but I do like to trot along behind people like a little shadow.I get along with the other cats here at the shelter (including the senior cats when I manage to sneak in their room), so I would love to have a feline sibling or two to hang out with. I haven't met many dogs before, but perhaps I'd get along with an older or calmer dog. I don't think I'd like little kids that want to cuddle and pick me up all the time, but older kids and teens that can give me space would be okay. I would prefer someone to be home with me most of the time, I don't like when my human(s) are gone for long periods of time..If you're interested in adopting me, please submit an application. I'm spayed, micro-chipped, up to date on my vaccines, and FIV/FeLuk negative.Adoption processFMAR is an no-kill 501 C 3 tax-exempt all breed dog and cat rescue, and like you, we are concerned about the welfare of the animals and the families that adopt them. We will require paperwork to be filled out and a consultation with the entire family before an animal is adopted. Interaction with any other dogs in your care and everyone living in the household is required. We reserve the right to deny any adoption that we feel is not safe or comfortable for either the animal or potential adopter. Our adoption costs vary, but all include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, and a negative heartworm (dogs) or negative FIV/FeLV (cats) test.Shelter locationAll of our adoptable animals are housed on site. We are by appointment only and require an application to be on file before coming to adopt our pets. We also take animals to the Westland Petco for meet and greets. Every Saturday, barring holidays, we are open to the public for meet and greets with our adoptable cats and dogs. An application is required after the meet and greet, should you find an animal you'd like to add to your family.
