The Foster writes: Pewter is such a sweet, snuggly kitty! He loves to play with any kind of toy or ribbon, as well as curl up right beside you while you watch TV. He is so talkative with the sweetest, high-pitch meow, and would do so well in many home environments. He has giant, bright green eyes and tiny little teeth that always stick out in a little smile. Pewter is easy-going and low-maintenance, while also loving any sort of affection he is shown!A volunteer writes: Pewter has been trying his best at the Care Center, but shelter life just isn't his style. We can't really blame him since he hasn't had the easiest time thus far. The first time I met Pewter, his fluffy silver coat and his bright green eyes immediately caught mine. But, Pewter had a kitty cold at the time and though I offered him some treats and toys, he wasn't so interested. The second time I met Pewter, his cold was a tiny bit better but he was feeling much more social. He first came up to the front to enjoy some snacks, but stayed at the front for friendship. Pewter has a really gentle way about him. He leaned his cheek into my hand like he was first checking to see if it was ok. He was brought to us because his person could no longer care for him and he is hoping to find his forever family soon. The adoption process includes filling out an application, having a counseling session, and interacting with the animal you are interested in adopting. You may need to set aside several hours to complete the entire process of interaction and adopting a pet. At this time, we have kittens (when available), cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and large dogs available for adoption browsing. Small dogs are available by appointment only. To adopt an animal, you will need a valid photo ID, be 18 years of age or older, and bring proof of current address such as a utility bill.
