Winston is a sweet guy who has been hanging around Castle Braid in Bushwick for a while. His caretakers reached out because he seemed to be getting sick, increasing congestion and noisy breathing. We treated the cold but realized there was something else going on. Vets confirmed he has a nasal polyp, usually a benign blob that forms in the nasal cavity or throat. It probably made his cold worse since part of his nose was being blocked. Even in good health now you can hear a snoring sound (or our preferred, more medically-accurate term, "Snorfling") when he gets close (you can hear it in the video). It actually seems to take the place of his purr, the happier he gets, the more he snorfles! Consequently, Winston can't be neutered until the polyp is removed. We have vet appointments set up and can take him to and from, we just need somebody to host him in the meantime. He's had everything else done: flea meds, microchip, FIV/FeLV (negative) and rabies shot. His appointment is on the 12th, we'd love to get him into a home at least until then.
