Temkin is a fabulous 2-3-year-old feline who arrived with a deformed, neurologically impaired front leg that our vet removed. Temkin doesn't miss her leg at all, and she is adept at stretching up legs to balance on her back legs and bap a person to get attention. Yes, Temkin loves attention. She's a happy, playful girl who loves to chase toys in circles and plop down on a lap, purring away, soaking up affection. Temkin was adopted last year into a family with a toddler. We don't know exactly what happened, but we are thankful that the family reached out and very grateful to have her returned to us. Temkin came back with numerous sores on her that were, to the best of our understanding, were self-inflicted. We had to keep a cone on Temkin at first until she realized that she was safe. Thankfully, she has left that behavior behind her, but we must find Temkin a calm home without youngsters. We cannot adopt her out to a chaotic home as I believe that she may start injuring herself again. Temkin has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She's negative for FIV and feline leukemia (we tested her again when she returned). She's available for adoption for $50. The felines we rescue are, age appropriately, vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and checked for FIV/FeLV. All felines are dewormed and treated for any identified medical issue. Adults and older kittens are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption fees: $50 for adults and $60 for kittens. Younger kittens require a signed spay/neuter agreement.
