POLLY POTATO IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Please read thoroughly before applying to adopt. Polly Potato is approximately 6 years old, spayed, current on vaccines and her front paws were previously declawed. She has healed from her full mouth extraction that was needed as a result of her stomatitis diagnosis. She is a Bambino cat (a mix of Sphynx and Munchkin) and REQUIRES a weekly bath (that she hates) plus daily wipe down to keep her clean. She also wears clothes to keep her clean and her clothes are changed every other day at minimum. She doesn't mind other calm cats that totally stay away from her, but would prefer a home as an only pet or in a home with a calm dog. She LOVES people and would do best in a home where she wasn't left home alone for long hours. She's a total lap kitty who wants to be in your lap as often as she can! She's a counter surfer, no keeping her off of counters in your home. She doesn't understand that concept. She eats mostly wet/canned food but I've caught her crunching on some kibbles. She's NOT a hypoallergenic cat. There is an excellent article that I will post in my stories that explains the MYTH of the hypoallergenic cat. In short, cats are unique within the animal world because they produce a specific protein that other animals do not-even dogs-which is why some people are incredibly allergic to cats and not other species. This is known as the Fel d 1 protein, and it's found in the cat's skin, saliva and urine.
