Nala allows attention and petting but appears to lean in or solicit any attention at this moment in the shelter. She may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior. Nala may be intimidated by small children, any home with older children prepared to adopt this cat should conduct a thorough interaction and endeavor to monitor this cat around their children to prevent these behaviors from being reinforced.What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I am a cat that is in need of a lap! Our Nala may not be feeling her best at the moment, but she's determined to put her best paw forward. Found outside a building and trying to make friends with passersby by rubbing against their legs, a good Samaritan noticed Nala looking a little worse for wear and brought her to us. We learned that Nala was someone's kitty once, but she was currently on her own and doing the best she could. Thankfully she has a whole team behind her now at the Care Center and we can't wait for her to find her forever family. Since being with us, Nala has been social and ready to come forward for pets. She's been affectionate and ready to lean her cheeks and cuddle into new friends at a moment's notice. Nala is especially ready to find her forever family.
