I got Tommy from PAWS a little over a month ago. Tommy is 4 years old. When I picked him up from the fosters home, he was friendly, gentle, but also playful. Foster said he ate dry food only, one meal in the morning and one at night. He's in great health and seemed like a great cat for a first time owner. But now that he is home with me he has been very food aggressive - swatting at me to feed him any time I get up to walk around the house. So I started feeding him smaller meals more often but that has not helped either. After he eats he has about 30 min where he is satiated and will let you pet him and be couch potatoes together and show you all the love but otherwise he's hyperfixated on food. I've tried changing his diet and his environment with no luck. I think with the right owner they could figure him out. But I am a first time cat owner and Im extremely overwhelmed. I truly think he's a great cat, I'm just not the right owner.
