Adopt Penny a Gray or Blue (Mostly) Domestic Mediumhair / Mixed (medium coat)

My son received Penny as an abandoned stray 12 years ago. We bottle fed her as she was a newborn. Was a good pet until he went to college (now travels) . I travel and Penny does not like being left alone. She is not a cuddly cat but she does like to sit on your lap. I have no idea how she would do around other cats, but I feel like she would make a good loyal companion to a person that is at home every night. She does scare easily, so think she would not make a good pet for children. Vet says she is the most healthy 12 year cat - no issues. She is litter box trained and finnicky about keeping a clean litter box - so we keep it cleaned out twice a day. She is not declawed as I felt like that was taking away her ability to defend herself. She does not claw on my furniture. Penny has many toys and a few pet beds and a travel caboodle as well as a scratching post that will come with her. She really likes to greet me when I come home, but she needs more socialization.
