Poor miss Marley has officially been in the shelter over a year as of July 3. So on the 4th of July what was a celebration of freedom and independence, was not for her. Marley is a sweet beautiful cat who has the misfortune of being diabetic. Under The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter's wonderful foster program that could be almost no trouble at all. All her medical expenses, including insulin, vet visits, food and supplies will be provided for at no expense to you. Marley would do best with a patient and understanding owner who knows she will take time to adjust to her new life. Marley needs insulin shots twice a day and prefers to be the only cat in your life. Marley can become overstimulated and would do best in a cat experienced home. After over a year in the shelter can you really blame her? Marley has not lost hope so we can't either. Marley is only 6 years young and doesn't deserve to spend the rest of her life confined to a cage.
