Eleanor is a 3 year old cat, who belonged to my great aunt. Eleanor came to live with me and my dog a year ago after my aunt passed. Eleanor is very friendly and loves to sit on your lap (or your computer). She loves her cat tree and to watch out the windows and the front door. Unfortunately, we need to look for a new home for her that does not have any other pets. She very recently began hissing at my dog. I have spoken to the vet and it seems to be the result of the dog being away from the home for a long weekend and when she came back, Eleanor did not recognize her as her housemate anymore. The vet explained that this is a behavior that can happen with cats when their buddy is gone from the home for a period of time. Eleanor will have all her favorite things to take along to her new home which includes her food, her cat tree, cat carrier, litter box, litter genie, and litter.
