I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Cat Adoption:11Introducing Fluffy! This sweet seven year old gent recently lost his home through no fault of his own. Upon arrival, our vet assessed his left eye and since damage was pretty severe, removed the eye so Fluffy could be more comfortable. He's adjusted well to his pirate status, and has enjoyed all the love and affection from volunteers and staff as he's recovered. His photos don't quite show how he earned his name - one look at his absolutely magnificent tail and all of a sudden the name "Fluffy" seems obvious! His sweet and loving nature has made him a favorite of our whole team and we can't wait to find him the purrfect new home.At around seven years old, Fluffy's a senior, and he's starting to show symptoms of chronic kidney disease. The good news is that kidney disease in cats is very manageable, and with regular veterinary care and lots of love, cats can still have a good quality of life for years even with this chronic condition.
