Toby is a sweet boy who was found on his own. He is social and loves to play! As a kitten he has tested positive for FIV or Feline immunodeficiency virus. Kittens who test positive at this age are often testing positive because of antibodies they receive from the mother. As they age these antibodies go away and by the time they are 4 to 6 months they test negative. They never had FIV to begin with. In the unlikely event that Toby continues to test positive FIV for a domestic indoor cat is usually not a concern. Cats with FIV that live outside and suffer injuries or are exposed to more sicknesses may have a harder time healing. Toby's retest will be paid for by the Haven. It is a simple blood test done by a vet.Available for adoption from Kitty Kat Haven and RescueHoover, AL 35226205-302-XXXX
