Mika is the ultimate low-maintenance, friendly companion. Her quiet charm will win your heart. She's a senior but with a clean bill of health and recent dental work, we expect her to have plenty of healthy years ahead. Mika lived on the street for years, waiting patiently and meowing quietly at the people who fed her every day. Everyone assumed she was wild at heart until she had to come indoors to have some teeth pulled and it turned out she loves indoor life and kind people. She also gets along with other cats.Adoption processCat and kitten adoptions require a $150.00 donation, which helps us cover the costs of delivering them already spayed/neutered, tested for felv/fiv, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any health problems we were aware of. We generally require that kittens under five months of age be adopted in two's unless you already have another pet. Adoptions require an application that asks for two references and a contract. We arrange for delivery of your new cat to your home, generally within a few days of getting your application. We are happy to help should you need advice or assistance with your new companion before or after the adoption.Shelter locationWe present a selection of cats and kittens for adoption every Sunday from 1 to 4pm at Bushwick Bark Pet Supplies, 181 Irving Ave., Bushwick, Brooklyn 11237. North Brooklyn Cats also works with other rescue groups, sharing resources, and participating in group adoption events whenever possible.
