Hello there, I'm Buckie! My story is sad. I was a cherished lap cat my whole life, but one day my person left, pushed my housemates and I outside, shut and locked the door, and there we were. Homeless. We were heartbroken. Luckily, Magicats was alerted and took us into foster care. Me --a gentle soul, ready to share a purr or head bump. Not one for wild adventures, I prefer simple pleasures: a cozy lap, quiet window sill or soft talk. I get along well with other kitties, am respectful of their space, happy to make friends. A bit cautious, but don't mistake that for shyness. I just take my time to trust, but once I do, I'm your friend for life. I'm friendly and love to be petted, a wonderful companion for someone who loves the calm, soothing presence of a cat. I lived a few years with a small dog, but I'm not comfortable around children. Adopt me and gain a loyal, loving friend. Will you give me a second chance?Adoption processOur current fee for a cat or kitten is $80.00We require a signed application that is reviewed by our volunteers.Adopter must agree that the pet will be Inside Only and must have permission from their landlord if they are renting.Before adoption all of our pets are thoroughly examined by one of our vets. They have received a rabies shot, series of vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FELV and are always spayed or neutered.Shelter locationWe currently have kennels available to us at the Twin Falls and Meridian PetSmart Adoption Centers. We have scheduled kitten socials, where you can arrange to meet some of our cats. Our pets are also available for viewing on our website and on petfinder.com. We are happy to arrange a private meeting and adoption for any of our cats after we have approved the adoption application.
