Hi! I'm Binx! I was rescued in Tracy, CA. I was left behind when my previous family moved but lucky for me a neighbor found me... whew! I’m incredibly friendly, playful, confident (except around very loud noises), social, and I can’t forget to mention handsome! I really enjoy the company of humans and want to be near them as much as possible. I love being around them so much that if I’m ever in a room with the door closed while humans are in another room, I’ll call out to them until they open the door so I can join the group. But I don’t need a closed door to use my voice, I’ll strike up a conversation with you when the mood is right. At night I like to sleep and cuddle with humans and I’ve been known to tuck myself into bed with them in the middle of the night without them even knowing. Oh, and I like to be picked up and carried and will politely let you know when I’m ready to be put down. I have lots of playful energy and love to run around and chase my toys. I’ll pounce on them or jump up in the air to catch them with gusto! One of my favorite toys is the laser, especially when that tricky little red dot goes up the wall. It’s so much fun jumping up to catch it! Sometimes you’ll find me hanging out in the bathtub and guess what… in an instant tub time can turn into playtime if you throw a ball in there with me, I’ll go crazy for it! Toys with ribbons and strings aren’t that interesting to me. As a matter of fact, I have more fun chewing on them and trying to eat them (which I’m told is a no-no) than playing with them so they only come out when my humans are watching. I have a big appetite and really love my wet food meals a lot so I'm meal fed to make sure I stay at a healthy weight. I’ve even been treated to yummy raw food! I might be allergic to lamb but this hasn’t been an issue since most wet foods don’t have lamb. I also love my super yummy treats! Churus and Tiki Cat Crunchers are my current favorites. But why stop there because human food looks good and smells delicious too. I sometimes try to sneak a taste of human food when I see an unattended plate or a freshly cooked in pan. My success rate is very, very low but if the temptation is there, I’m probably going to try. Yes, I’m food motivated but I’m also very, very smart. I know a lot of tricks such as spin, up, and sit. I’m also quick to figure out food puzzles and how to open drawers. Some other things I really love are being brushed - I’ll even groom you by licking your hand while you brush me, hanging out in high places - like on a tall cat tree, chin scritches and butt pats. I’m looking for a fun and affectionate family. Oh and I really need a friendly and playful furiend in my forever home to keep me company. I’ve spent time other kitties and have even hung out with calm and friendly dogs. I’m full of purrsonality and I can’t wait to share it with my new family!
