Recognizing the need for a more suitable home, the compassionate couple made the tough decision to surrender Torbert to 9 Lives Cat Rescue, prioritizing both his well-being and that of their beloved birds. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting. 9 Lives Cats have been spayed or neutered and have updated vaccinations. 9 Lives is run entirely on volunteers.
