BONDI was rescued by a local resident but he had to stay outside. Somewhere along the way, he sustained a pretty extensive wound under his neck (dog, coyote?). The SCHS got him the medical care he needed and he's doing well. He does have scar tissue – likely from other injuries sustained in his travels – so he appears stiff. He loves a good back scratch for that. This incredibly sweet boy and volunteer favorite deserves a comfy home where he doesn't have to worry about anything. He did test positive for FIV, but please do your homework. It's difficult to pass on to other cats and Bondi can live in the general population with other friendly felines. The standard adoption fee is $100 cash or $105 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. This includes all basic vet work such as immunizations, altering, and heartworm and leukemia tests. We reserve the right to be very picky with our pets as some of them are very small and sometimes fragile. We usually do not place small dogs or kittens in a home with children under the age of 5, however, we do take the individual circumstances and the individual pet into consideration. An Adoption Application must be completed and if approved, an Adoption Contract is required for final approval to adopt.Shelter locationWe recently opened an Adoption Center in Albemarle which serves as a location for record keeping and to kennel a limited number of cats. The Adoption Center is located at 650 Hwy 24/27 Bypass East. Pets are brought to this location for viewing on alternate Saturdays for our Adopt-A-Thons. Pets may also be met by appointment with the foster family.
