They called me "big head." That was my name in the trailer park where I was rescued. I didn't even mind as long as I got pets.My foster mom renamed me Melee. She said that name fit my looks, but she's not too sure it fits my personality. I might look like a rugged tomcat, and may have had that reputation in my younger days, but now you might refer to me as a pussycat. Under all that gruffness I just want to be in a lap. I purr easily and will "make biscuits" as I wait for pats. I lived with other cats outside in what we now refer to as "my other life." I am really glad I no longer have to forage for food, making the rounds for any scraps residents would throw out. I'm really enjoying this easy indoor life and have decided not to go back. But I don't mind if you still want to call me "Big Head" as long as there are pats or food involved.Melee is estimated to be around five years old. He is FIV+, but that doesn't mean he can't live a normal long life. Because FIV is transferred through mating or deep bite wounds, he is also unlikely to pass it to other cats he lives with.Adoption processApplication and references, adoption fee.
