Monty came into our lives ten years ago. His owner died when he was one and he needed a new home. He was born feral and taken in by his original owner as a kitten, then came to us. At the time I did not have any other pets. Monty is a loving and intelligent cat - he constantly needs to be around humans and loves to be pet. Every vet tech who has ever met him loves him. He’s a cat person’s cat! He does get over-stimulated and can swipe, bunny kick, and bite. He needs an experienced owner in a cat-only household who can dedicate time to know and love him. Five years ago we adopted a dog and in the beginning they got along, but then the dog got too close to Monty and Monty scratched our dog in the face and the connection between them was lost forever. We were able to separate them in our previous home but recently moved and can no longer do that. Monty isn’t happy here, and he deserves a home where he can feel safe.
