Say hey to Doll! Doll came to us after being live trapped during a TNR project when she was around 6 weeks old. We believe she was born in October of 2021. When Doll first came to us she was VERY scared of humans and shelter life. Since then she has warmed up and likes to be petted, get a few tummy rubs and maybe the occasional tail bone scratch once she gets to know you. She will roll over and purr for you but is still nervous of loud noises and fast movements. She will need some extra time to adjust in her new home, and would do best in a home with older calmer children and animals. She is gaining more confidence every day with humans, and will make a wonderful kitty for someone that will give her the time she needs to settle in. All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
