Sasha is our longest resident at our facility. At the end of summer, it will be a year for her here. We all treat her as the queen she is, but she needs a real home. She is a young cat less than 2 years old. She feels a bit like an old soul though. Sasha has been through a lot in her life. She was born and lived mostly outside at a trailer park. When her owner passed away, she came to us. Sasha is the Grand Dame of our facility. She climbs the cat tree near the doorway to the back rooms, demands pets from the volunteers who pass, and is a huge fan of treats. She is a gorgeous girl with dilute tortie coloring, and soft fur. There is an endless parade of younger cats and kittens through our facility. She tolerates the other cats, but does not necessarily enjoy them. She is not very playful, but is more of a lounger. Over her time here, she has had a couple of meet and greets, but tends to retreat to the top of the kennels or a cabinet when a new person comes in. She does not show well. We would love more than anything to know that she is in her very own low stress home with people to love her. Odds are that if you come to see her, she might retreat to the top of something and look judgingly at you. Would you give her a shot though? Are you the person who could see past that and give her a chance at a life not in a shelter? We would gladly let the right person take her home for a month long trial foster, just to see if you and she are compatible. We really feel like she would blossom in a home and be a fantastic pet. Could you be the one to give her a chance?
