Hi there, I'm Ube, a beautiful 1-year-old female cat with deep dark orange eyes and a beautiful silky black coat. I may be small, weighing only 8 pounds, but I have a big personality that will surely steal your heart. I was rescued with my sisters Taro and Mochi from a Senior Living Community in Boyle Heights. Life was tough out there, but thanks to Boyle Heights Cats, I now have a warm place to call home. However, I'm still a bit shy and it takes me some time to come out of my shell. I am a Domestic Short Hair, which means I have a soft and sleek coat that is easy to maintain. My ideal home would be with someone who understands and is patient with a timid kitty like me. I may not be the most sociable cat, but once I warm up to you, I'll shower you with my endless curiosity and I have an active side and often enjoy playing with toys especially lasers and feather-type toys but I also have my chill moments where I just want to lounge and relax. I can be a bit standoff-ish at times, but my clever and curious nature keeps me entertained. I prefer to be the only pet in the house and would thrive in a quiet and calm environment without any children. I would love nothing more than to have a family that can help me come out of my shell. a I may seem aloof and shy at first, but I promise you, if you give me a chance, I will show you just how playful I can be.
