We have 2 cats 1 male (Named Shadow) and 1 female (Named Toto). Both are fixed, and up to date with shots. We have had them for almost 8 years now, and unfortunately our 2-year-old has developed allergies to the cats. They currently spend all their time locked away in the basement to prevent any reactions. But it's just not fair to them. So, we are now seeking alternatives to them being in the basement all alone almost 24/7.
