Homer is looking for a loving foster home to unwind in while he continues along the road of recovery. Reason for Foster: On-going care for dental issues. Weight/Thin. FIV+Foster Time Frame: Until 5/17 Foster Care Plan: Homer had a recent dental procedure that he is recovering from. He will go home with medication and is on a soft food only diet while he is still healing. His previous bloodwork results were abnormal and will need to be repeated on 5/17. Homer will have a medical consultation at his pickup appointment. FIV+ is a Feline Immunodeficiency Virus which lowers a cat's immune system. This virus is not highly contagious through direct contact with people. It is a virus that is spread through deep bites (saliva into blood stream). However, many infected cats do not show symptoms and have a normal life expectancy. I am available through our Foster to Adopt program. This program helps pets awaiting or under medical treatment be placed in with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption.
