At just a year old this 11lb., baby faced boy has the most swagger and is a bit of a showman. Dwayne is a puffball of sweetness ready to flaunt his stuff. He's not shy about making the first move when it comes to soliciting pets, and once he gets a taste of those chin scratches and head rubs, pff forget it..he'll be putty in your hands. This babe is a social savant and just loves love. Aww! Dwayne is a curious kitty who loves to explore his surroundings and be involved. Hes a great little sidekick and really just wants good hangtime with his humans. When it's time to unwind, he's a pro at lounging on the couch like a true champion. With his laid-back demeanor and expert lounging skills, Dwayne is the ultimate couch buddy and companion. Dwayne would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention, soaking up all the love and affection his human companions have to offer. Dwayne's sweet and sociable nature will win you over in no time. If you're looking for a furry friend who's equal parts cool and cuddly, tag in Dwayne "The Cat" Johnson! He may just be the perfect match for you! Our cat adoption fee is $70.They come spayed/neutered and microchipped. They receive the FVRCP( feline distemper combo) vaccine, strongid(dewormer), and their current monthly flea treatment. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you'd like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-XXXX. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than animal services' website.Adoption processHow much does it cost? Cats are $70 and dogs are $90, no matter the age, breed, or sex of the animal. We sometimes have other types of pets available for adoption, such as rabbits, birds, guinea pigs and other small animals. Adoption fees vary, depending upon the animal -------------------------------------- How do I adopt a pet? Once you visit the shelter and select your pet, you will be asked to complete an adoption application. The application will include information about how you plan to care for your new friend, where he or she will live, what your expectations of the pet's behavior may be and whether pets already in your home are legally licensed. If you do not own your home, we will need to contact the legal property owner to verify that you may have the pet you are interested in. Certain animals will have specific adoption requirements in addition to the general requirements. These can include a fence check, no small kids, etc. If your application is approved, you will be asked to complete several other forms including an adoption contract. This process takes approximately 30 minutes. The pet you select will remain at the shelter for transport to the veterinarian for its spay/neuter surgery.Shelter locationThe shelter is open Tuesday through Friday, from 9:30 to 5:30, and on Saturday from 9:30 to 4:00. The shelter is closed on state holidays and holiday weekends. We stop adoptions 1/2 hour prior to closing. The shelter is located at 3120 Martin Way E, Olympia, 1/2 mile west of Lilly Rd. Animal Services can be easily reached by an Intercity Transit bus. Bus routes 60, 62A and 62B all drive by the shelter and there is a bus stop located in front of the shelter for convenient access.
